A4驻留 | 艺术家张晋成功入选“2019 瑞士Verzasca山谷驻留项目”
我们很高兴地宣布艺术家张晋获得“2019 瑞士Verzasca山谷驻留项目”的驻留资格，他将于2019.07.28-2019.09.08在瑞士Verzasca山谷展开驻留工作，深入自然与街道，与来自不同机构、地区与国家的艺术家、策展人、当地居民展开交流与合作，带来极具在地性、鲜活性以及讨论性的创作现场，完成不一样的驻留体验。该项目由瑞士文化基金会上海办公室支持，驻留人选由麓湖.A4美术馆受邀推荐，开启双方在驻留项目上的初次合作。
We are pleased to announce that artist Zhang Jin will participate in the "Artist-in-Residence in the Verzasca Valley 2019". He will work in the Verzasca Valley in Switzerland during 2019.07.28-2019.09.08, so as to engage in the nature and streets, collaborate with artists, curators, residents from different institutions, regions and countries and bring a site-specific, live and creative scene along with different residency experience. This program is supported by Pro Helvetia Shanghai, Swiss Arts Council, upon whose invitation Luxelakes A4 Art Museum has nominated the residency candidates. This shall be the first time that the two institutions jointly facilitate this residency.

1. 驻留 The residency program
在这个特定的空间中，瑞士项目和世界各国的摄影师都能前来短期生活并进行创作。艺术家将在与自然环境、当地居民和摄影节参与艺术家的互动过程中，以彻底的思想自由创造图像。
驻留项目位于广阔开放的乡村环境中。在这里，艺术家会面临与各自日常生活截然不同的节奏和活力。艺术家将沉浸在原始纯净的自然之中，并获得思考、学习和自我发展的时间。该驻留项目与Verzasca山谷摄影节全面结合在一起。
We established a place where invited photographers from Switzerland and abroad can stay for a period of time by creating their own projects. The artists can create their images with total freedom of mind, interact with the surrounding nature, the local population and the other artists attending the festival activities.
The residency takes place in an outlying and rural context where rhythms and dynamics may differ than the ones the artists are normally faced to in their daily life. Being fully immersed in pristine nature, the artists stand in a place where time is also given to inner reflexion, study and personal developing. The residency program is fully integrated with the Verzasca Foto Festival.

2. Verzasca山谷摄影节 Verzasca Foto Festival
自2014年起，Verzasca山谷摄影节于每年九月上旬于Verzasca按期举行。今年摄影节的举办日期为2019-09-05至09-08。届时，摄影节将在拉韦尔泰佐、布廖内、弗拉斯科、索诺尼奥等提契诺州（瑞士南部）的宁静小镇落地。
举办摄影节的目的，是在绝美的自然风光、古老的建筑和宁静和谐的环境中实现一场真实而独特的摄影盛会。在这四天的体验中，摄影节将提供户外集体展览、驻留和竞赛展、摄影工作坊以及与受邀摄影家的对谈。户外活动“摄影之夜”通常会在其中一个小镇的中央广场上举行，并配以多媒体幻灯片放映和音乐现场。
Verzasca山谷摄影节使原始自然和摄影艺术的同时体验成为可能。这也是不同文化之间进行沟通的机会。通过非正式的社交活动、与驻留和非驻留摄影家的交流以及与机构、资助者和文化工作者的会面，人与人之间的联系也会越发密切。
The festival takes place yearly since 2014, in early September in the Verzasca Valley. The new edition’s dates are from the 5th to the 8th of September 2019. The events will take place in the towns of Lavertezzo, Brione, Frasco and Sonogno, peaceful villages in the mountains of the Canton of Ticino (Southern Switzerland).
The aim of the festival is to offer an authentic and unique photography event in a place of rare beauty, surrounded by nature, centenary architecture and harmonious ambience. We offer a four-day experience with collective outdoor exhibitions, residency and contests exhibitions, photography workshops, talks and round tables with the invited photographers. The Photo Night is an outdoor event with multimedia slide show and live music, usually in the main square of one of the villages.
Verzasca Foto offers the possibility of experiencing both wild natural landscapes and photographic contents, as well as connecting with other cultures and strengthening human relationships through informal networking and personal meetings with residency and other photographers, institutions, sponsors, and cultural actors.

3. 驻留期间During the Residency（INTER）
（1）调查研究和图像生产 Research and Image Production
摄影艺术家将在项目的第一个阶段对理想的工作地点进行调查、会见相关人员并创作图像。在最初的适应期后，艺术家通常已经从环境中汲取了足够的灵感，并能提出合适的创作概念。
The photographers will spend the first part of the residency researching for ideal locations, meeting people and producing their images. After the first days of adaptation, the artists usually receive from the environment the necessary inputs to develop a suitable concept.

（2）《RESIDENZE APERTE》公共展览和交流
“RESIDENZE APERTE” Public Presentations and Meetings
组委会将在八月确定具体日期，使当地居民和艺术家与驻留摄影艺术家会面、倾听驻留创作项目、交流艺术观点，并以融汇各文化美食的自助晚餐作结。晚餐之后，艺术家将通过摄影作品展示并讲解自己的驻留行迹。
In August we propose a day where local people and artists have the occasion to meet the artist-in-residence, listen about their projects, interact visions in art and finally share a multicultural dinner buffet, followed by presentations where the artists talk about their itinerary with photography.

（3）编辑和展览概念 Editing and Exhibition Concept
大致在驻留第四周的时候，艺术家将开始策划自己的展览，尝试将自己的想法和概念在物理空间中实施。项目最终的作品将由一家当地艺术实验室印刷。
Around the fourth week of residency, the artists start to plan their exhibition, bringing their ideas and concepts into a given physical space. In the last editions the art works were printed by a local fine art laboratory.

（4）展览开幕 Exhibition Opening
驻留艺术成果的展览开幕于摄影节伊始。组委会将通过所有的渠道推广活动，参观者将能免费观展。开幕时，艺术家将向公众展示自己的创作。
The art produced during the residency is presented at an exhibition which opens at the beginning of the festival. This event is promoted through all our channels and is free of charge for the visitors. At the exhibition opening the artists present their work to the public.

（5）圆桌会谈和公共演讲 Round Tables and Public Speeches
驻留艺术家将展示并讲解自己的创作方法、创作概念后的调查工作以及他们的驻留收获。这些见面会将促进和深化受邀摄影艺术家之间的互动，并有助于理解各个艺术家的独特视角。
The photographers-in-residence present and explain the methodology of their work, the research behind the concept and the achievements of their residency. These meetings allow a further and deeper interaction with the invited photographers, helping to understand the vision of each photographer.

（6）NOTTE DELLA FOTOGRAFIA （摄影之夜） (Photo Night)
摄影之夜期间，所有的受邀摄影师（驻留艺术家和户外展览的参展者）将与公众见面。在小镇中心广场用过晚餐后，多媒体幻灯片放映将和现场音乐表演交错进行。
During the Photo Night, all invited photographers (those of the residency and those exposing at the festival’s outdoor exhibition) are presented to the public. Following the dinner in the main square of the village, a multimedia slide show is interposed with live music.
4. 地点 Locations
（1）Verzasca山谷/索诺尼奥 Verzasca Valley / Sonogno
Verzasca山谷位于瑞士南部提契诺州的腹地，在米兰以北150千米、苏黎世以南200千米，属下有八个自治区。索诺尼奥是其中最后一个村庄，在海平面以上919米，拥有90名长期居民。山谷由Verzasca河冲刷形成，天蓝色和祖母绿的河水晶莹剔透。山谷南北走向，延绵25千米，位于拉文蒂纳山谷与马基亚山谷之间，并以布廖内峰（2864米）为至高点。
The Verzasca Valley is located in the heart of the Canton of Ticino in Southern Switzerland, about 150 kilometres north from Milan and 200 kilometres south from Zurich. It comprises eight municipalities. The last village of the valley is Sonogno at 919 meters above sea level with about 90 all-year-round inhabitants. The Valley is formed by the Verzasca River, with its crystal-clear turquoise and emerald green water. The Valley extends over 25 kilometres in north – south direction and it is situated between the Leventina Valley and the Maggia Valley and culminates at Pizzo Barone (2864 m).
（2）展览空间 Exhibition Spaces
2016-2016届的驻留展览在毗邻索诺尼奥中心广场的Tecc der Giacomina（由旧粮仓改造的展览空间）举办。这座两层建筑被用于展览、销售和影像装置。2017年的艺术项目在索诺尼奥镇中心的石屋外展出。2018年，其中一个项目在近期刚刚改建的CiiS（索诺尼奥镇边缘的石造粮仓）中举办，另一个则沿着弗拉斯科与索诺尼奥之间的林中小径举行。
During the editions 2015 – 2016 the residents’ exhibition has taken place in the exhibition space called“Tecc der Giacomina” (old barn transformed in exhibition space) next by the main square of Sonogno. The house is on two floors, used for exhibitions, point of sale and videos installations.
The 2017 projects were exhibited on the outside walls of stone houses on the town centre of Sonogno. In 2018, one project was exhibited in the recently converted space “CiiS” (old barn at the beginning of the Sonogno town centre) and another along the wood path between Frasco and Sonogno.
（3）驻留艺术家住宿：Casa Quirico 和Casa Berna
Residents’House: Casa Quirico and Casa Berna
驻留艺术家租住的房屋位于弗拉斯科。两座房屋都楼高三层，有足够的空间容纳至多4位艺术家。住宿配备舒适，各有5间卧室和3间浴室，并有一间客厅和一个厨房供所有人使用。Casa Berna顶部新近添有工作室，内有多个工作空间和娱乐设施。
Our rented houses for the residents are located in Frasco. Both on three floors, with enough space for up to four artists, it has comfortable installations with total five bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a shared area with the living room and the kitchen. New is an atelier space in the top of the house Casa Berna, with working places and leisure installations.
关于瑞士文化基金会上海办公室
About Pro Helvetia Shanghai
瑞士文化基金会上海办公室于2010年成立。它旨在支持中瑞两国艺术家与机构间的合作与交流，通过开展项目促进两国在文化领域内知识与经验的分享。目前，瑞士文化基金会上海办公室开展的项目主要集中在瑞士当代艺术，其中包括视觉艺术、设计、建筑、音乐与舞蹈等众多领域。
Pro Helvetia Shanghai is founded in 2010 and represents the Swiss Arts Council in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. Its aim is to encourage dialogue between Swiss and Chinese cultural practitioners and institutions by supporting projects that enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience in the cultural field.
自2013年4月项目正式启动，A4国际艺术家驻留项目坚持每年持续推动更多国家与地区间的艺术家、策展人、设计师等的交流与互访，鼓励具有独立创想和艺术研究建树的个人或艺术小组深入社区与城市参与项目，通过国际驻留期间的在地创作、交流和展示，进一步推进自身和所属区域的文化互动与学术交流。根植于本地社区与城市，麓湖•A4美术馆不仅提供高效与专业的学术支持，还将带来驻留同期丰富的活动体验与对话，为参与者带来广阔、多元、深度的创作空间与可能性。目前国际艺术家驻留项目主要分为四个不同部分，分别是邀请制驻留，城市间双向交换驻留，国际国内公开招募申请以及公共艺术项目专项驻留。
Since the project was formally initiated in April 2013, A4’s artist in residence international exchange program has given many artists, curators, and designers from China and abroad the opportunity to exchange and interact with one another. It has also encouraged innovative artists and artist groups with contributions to public knowledge to carry out participatory projects that intervene in the community or city. The international residency’s locally based production, exchange, and exhibitions strengthen cultural exchange and academic dialogue between the institution and its surroundings. Based in the local community, Luxelakes·A4 Art Museum not only provides exemplary academic support, it also coordinates events and discussions during the duration of the residency, making it possible for participants to expand, diversify, and deepen their artistic practices.
At present, the artist in residence international exchange program is divided into four distinct sections: invitational residency, city based residency exchanges, open applications for international and domestic artists, and residencies specifically for public art projects.
