Gene弥金画廊将推出张皓言个展《大地边缘的人，狂醉中空想》，展览由陈鋆尧策展，展期为2022.6.12-2022.7.10。在张皓言的首次个展中，艺术家呈现了过去两年间围绕诸多具体的荧幕形象，以图像学和媒介现象的思路进行影像与绘画媒介实践的成果。
Gene Gallery is delighted to announce Fantasy, on the edge of the earth, the solo exhibition by artist Zhang Haoyan, from June 12, 2022 to July 10, 2022. In Zhang Haoyan's first solo exhibition, he presents the results of his media practice of video and painting based on the ideas of iconography and media phenomena in the past two years, focusing on many specific screen images.

神话是历史选择的言说方式1，而历史进程中的“新造神运动”，也正是张皓言的创作基底。以奥特曼为代表的诸多荧幕英雄曾为人们点燃希望，又在经历一系列复杂媒介传播行为后，消散乃至丢失原本的角色设定初衷，成为一种带有悲情底色的英雄挽歌。在此背景下，张皓言以荧幕考古工作的思路进行影像与绘画媒介实践，对童年时期风靡一时的荧幕形象再发掘，将个体经历、流行文化与全球化等社会议题相杂糅，反映出90后一代在跨文化与跨地区的交流与转译中所面临的错位，表达其尝试建立存在于普遍的工业化文明和审美上的异化实践。
Myth is the way of speech chosen by history 1, and the "New God-creation Movement" in the historical process is also the basis of Zhang Haoyan's works. On-screen hero images such as Ultraman once ignited hope for people. After a series of complex media communication behaviors, they dissipated or even lost the original intention of the original character set, becoming a kind of heroic elegy with a tragic undertone. Zhang Haoyan's practice focuses on videos and paintings with the idea of screen archaeology, rediscovers the popular screen images in childhood, and mixes social issues such as popular culture and globalization. It expresses the dislocation faced by the post-90s generation in cross-cultural and cross-regional communication and translation. It describes their attempts to establish the practice of alienation that exists in a common industrialized civilization and aesthetics.

张皓言(b.1996)，毕业于伦敦艺术大学纯艺术专业，现工作生活于上海。他的实践涉及绘画、影像、写作媒介。他通过考古荧幕形象进行观念绘画和影像创作，重临角色于历史与当代的社会因果。
关于策展人
陈鋆尧，策展人，他的策展实践和研究关注于城市化语境下的空间政治、数字媒体的公共性和公共环境中的数字人文景观。
